What's on in Norfolk this Christmas?
With Christmas fast approaching, Norfolk plays host to a huge number of festive events. The Norfolk Agents have selected a few exciting activities to get you and your family in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year!
THURSFORD CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR
Arguably Norfolk’s most famous and popular Christmas event, and boasts being Europe’s largest Christmas show of its kind! This Christmas extravaganza includes non-stop singing, dancing, humour and variety, and celebrates its 45th anniversary this year! The shows run from 8th November until the 23rd December with shows at 2pm & 7pm.
LUMINATE SANDRINGHAM
The Royal Families traditional Christmas home comes to light with the Sandringham Estate Winter Light Trail. Nestled into the woods of the estate is a mile long trail with stunning lighting elements and light play all set to ambient music. This unique experience will run nightly from 11th November until the 18th December.
DIPPY’S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
Maybe one for the younger generation of the family as Dippy teams up with Father Christmas to bring some festive cheer to the Roarr! Adventure Park. The celebrations include two events; Jingle All The Day where you visit Father Christmas and can choose your favourite toy from under the tree & Sparkle in the
Dark which takes place on selected evenings, where you can visit Mother Christmas in her Gingerbread kitchen! These special events run from 26th November to 24th December.
THE TUNNEL OF LIGHT
Norfolk’s capital welcomes the return of the Tunnel of Light right in the heart of the City centre. With over 57000 LED lights, it has lit up the city centre for several years and this year boasts more patterns than ever before! The tunnel will be turned on 17th November, before they are switched off on 5th January.
HOLT LIGHTS
The popular market town of Holt welcomes its Christmas lights switch-on on the evening of 18th November! Activities begin from 5:30 with live entertainment, street food, Santa’s grotto, a Panto Horse Race and Parade building up to the main light switch on with fireworks followed by live music.
NORFOLK ARTISAN FAIR
This Christmas fair returns to Fakenham Racecourse showcasing the very best that Norfolk has to offer with over 100 exhibitors providing a range of food, drink and gifts! The event will be held on the 19th & 20th November.
WINTER WONDERLAND
It’s time to get your skates on as a family as The Norfolk Showground host a real ice rink! Other attractions include thrill rides, a fun fair, licensed bars, live entertainment, festive stalls as well as the chance to visit Santa in person! It is open daily from 18th November until 3rd January.
