Our team have put together a list of a few of our favourite food spots in Norfolk for you to try.

Fat Teds, Sheringham
This family run business offers a range of flavourful street food - their menu includes a range of dirty fries or nachos, burgers, flat breads and 'super salads' as well as a children's menu. Located in the town center of Sheringham their food is the perfect lunch for a day on the beach, but be sure to pre-order online in the summer because the locals know all about this (not so) well kept secret! They also offer private hire to cater for parties, weddings, festivals and corporate events, and often travel around the county for pop-ups at food markets so be sure to check them out if they are nearby- if you are lucky enough you may even meet the amazing Ted himself... the family's adorable pug!

Rose and Crown, Harpley
A welcoming country pub offering a range of fresh local produce for evening meals, lunches, take-away food and even for private dining/events. The Rose and Crown is the perfect setting for food with family and friends, with a cosy log fire creating a relaxed atmosphere and pub gardens for alfresco summer dining. The 'West Norfolk Pub of the Year' (2019) offers a range of Norfolk Ales alongside a pub food menu as well as a changing seasonal menu. 

Jack's at Woodlakes,Stowbridge
Opening in 2020, Jack's welcomes guests of the holiday park and non-guests alike seven days a week. This family run restaurant offers views across the lake from indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a takeaway menu for those who would like to enjoy their delicious food in the comfort of their own homes. Jack's serves up breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks alongside a range of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks - little ones are welcome too with a fun filled activity menu just for them!

Mem's Kitchen, Kings Lynn
Mem's Kitchen presents a hearty Mediterranean menu as well as home made cakes and desserts. Perfect for an evening meal, lunch stop with friends, or even for healthy takeaway boxes on your lunch break, this independent restaurant is very popular with the locals- so much so that the business have extended their seating area to allow for more guests! Serving dishes from pasta to burgers, seafood to vegetarian meals, Mem's Kitchen is the perfect opportunity to try something new and exotic on your doorstep.

Rocket House Cafe, Cromer
Located above the RNLI Lifeboat museum the Rocket House Cafe overlooks the wonderful Cromer beach, a perfect spot for admiring the views (and people watching of course!). With a range of seasonal specials the cafe prides itself on its use of local produce for their breakfasts, lunches and dinners with plentiful portions. Of course they also offer a delicious variety of cakes and pastries to have with a hot drink- perfect to warm up after a winters walk along the Norfolk coast, even your four legged friends are welcome. The walls are dotted with art exhibitions from local artists (many of which are available to purchase) and port-hole windows to further add to the coastal feel.

The Bird In Hand, Wreningham
A traditional pub and restaurant that guarantees a warm welcome and fresh local food- they even grow their own herbs. With indoor and outdoor seating areas, as well as a separate bar space, this beautiful Victorian built restaurant is full of history tracing back as far as 1794. 'The Bird' also offers en-suite accommodation that all include king sized beds with Egyptian cotton linens and complimentary The White Company toiletries. The Bird in Hand is also well suited to car club events and regularly hosts meets throughout the year, with Porsche and Mazda MX-5 owners clubs being a few that meet here monthly, making it the perfect stay for car enthusiasts.


Taylors, Fakenham
Taylor's is a great addition to Fakenham town, adding a quirky feel. It's just a minute walk from the market and is a fantastic place to stop off for a quick bite to eat and a drink on the way to the coast. Taylors is said to sell the best afternoon tea around, delighted customers continue to revisit to try more of the menu. Great coffee, nice ambience, excellent selection of cakes and brunch items at very reasonable prices. What more could you possibly need!

Mussel Pod, Brancaster
The quirky Mussel Pod serves fresh Brancaster mussels caught by the owners themselves. Thomas is a mussel farmer and his family have been fishing in Norfolk since the 1700s- if anybody knows how to serve amazing fresh seafood, it's him! Whilst they sell the majority of their catch to other local restaurants over the winter months, in the summer Thomas and his wife Sarah open up their takeaway unit for the village as well as travelling around the country for food festivals. They also offer a service for private and corporate hire.
Winibees, Sheringham
Winibees is a true pink paradise! The owners set up the business in 2021 after moving back to Norfolk from London and named it after their two children Winnie and Barnaby. Offering a range of hot drinks and milkshakes, homemade cupcakes, traybakes, and New York style cookies as well as bespoke celebration cakes, there is something for everybody. The bakery has photo opportunities everywhere you look with bright pink walls, balloon displays in the window and seasonal treats which look just as delicious as they taste. No worries if you do not live in Norfolk- they also post their bakes across the UK!

Elmham Tea Post, North Elmham
This delightful, family run café is located in the heart of North Elmham. The food is all homemade and there is a huge selection of cakes and other treats, both sweet and savoury. The employees at Elmham Tea Post are a credit to the business, always welcoming customers with a warm and greeting smile. Elmham Tea Post is located on a popular cycling route which is always a big hit with the locals who often stop off for a quick bite to eat, as well as the river Wensum being nearby, offering a picturesque scenery for walkers and cyclists.
